Textdescriptionprovidedbythearchitects.LocatedintheheartofDenmark,thispeacefulandwelcominghomewithaninformal,contemporarycharactersitsperfectlyinitsruralsurroundings.Theprojecthasseveralnuclei:amainbuildingandtwobarnshasbeenarrangetoevokeanoldfarm.Theotherimperativethatformedtheconceptwastoretainandacknowledgethesimpleshapeoftheoriginalbuildings–threelong,abstractvolumes,withagableroof.Formally,thesimple,iconic,traditionalbuildingisreferenced,butwiththeaddedcontemporaryapproachofthestudyofformwithoutshowingtraditionalelementsorornamentation.Thefacadeencapsulatesthisconcept:guttersandchimneysareconcealed,woodwrapsaroundeachvolume.

Atfirsttheabstractshapesofthethreevolumesmightseematoddswiththeruralcontext,butonceenteringthecentralcourtyardalongaconcretepathandappreciatingthesurroundingstructuresandthefullextentoftheproject,theviewerisalerttothecoherenceofthespacewithitsspecificconfigurationformingacentralcourtyard,typicaloftraditionalregionalfarms.Themainhouseisplacedinbetweenthegrasslandandthestreet–protectedbytheothertwofunctionalbuildings.Inthiswayitprofitsfromtheviewontothecentralcourtyard,catchingthesunononeside,whiletheothersideopensontofields,providingpanoramicviewsoverthelandscape.
内部的拉丝混凝土地板展现了传统农场的特点，木质饰面的地板和室内和室外空间形成了视觉延续。这种适度，统一的内部空间，刚好适应低调内敛的整体建筑氛围。
Thebrushedconcretefloorinsidereflectsthetraditionalfarmvernacularandthegroundwoodfinishprovidesavisualcontinuationbetweentheindoorandoutdoorspaces.Thisformedastartingpointforamodest,uniforminteriorapproachtofitthegeneralarchitecturalatmosphereoftheproject.
